I had the pleasure of ringing in the New Year with Meredith and Patrick at their December 31st wedding at The Waterford in Fair Oaks, VA. Their wedding had several milestones for me as it was not only my last wedding of 2008, but also my first of 2009 and the largest bridal party I have photographed yet! A total of 25 people!! And it was also my first wedding that incorporated the speech from A Princess Bride, an impromptu photo-booth and a mini Bride War in the lobby (check out the last images to see what I mean)! It was obvious that they spent a lot of time planning out the details and even the DJ said the venue was the prettiest he had ever seen it. I loved the silver and frosted gold decorations! As I was editing their images, I couldn’t help but smile as I watched this couple’s changing expressions, from the love as they gazed at each other to the faces scrunched up in laughter. These two are so obviously meant to have a very happy future together and it was my pleasure to start my new year with them and their outstandingly fun group of family and friends!
