Elsy and Elvis had me excited to work with them from the very first moment we spoke to each other on the phone. I feel so lucky that a wedding date change early in their planning process allowed me to be available to photograph their wedding. And despite the rain, I think their day turned out to be perfect in so many ways. Their ceremony was held at St. Martin’s Church in Gaithersburg, followed by a stunning reception at the Golden Bull. I was absolutely amazed when I walked into the reception room and saw how the space had been transformed for them. Whenever couples ask me for any advice I have for them to make their weddings extra-special and beautiful, I always suggest professional lighting. And the difference that the lights made at the Golden Bull only proved to reinforce my appreciation for lighting designers. Then to top off the beautiful surroundings, Elsy and Elvis hired a full salsa band which kept the dance floor going all night.
